What do I need to bring?
If you have a referral from your doctor, specialist or other health provider, please bring the referral and any other information relevant to the condition such as X-ray or MRI reports or images. You can email the referral or other reports to info@backtoyourfeet.co.nz
During Alert Level 2 we request all clients sign in using the COVID Tracer App and wear a mask for the consultation. We do have an alternate registration system if you forget your phone, and we can provide you with a mask if you don't have one.
Please wear clothing that allows us to assess the injured area, ideally a loose fitting shorts or singlet. If you would prefer to be covered during that assessment we understand and can work through clothing if necessary.
If it is a lower limb condition bring your running shoes, or boots, or other peices of relevant sporting equipment.
How many visits will I need?
The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the physiotherapist will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process.
How do I make an appointment?
You can view all our our therapists schedule and book online or you can call or text us on 021673732 (text is best).
How long are appointments?
Initial and follow up physiotherapy appointments are usually 30 minutes and we do make an effort to stick to appointment times so please arrive five minutes early for your appointment. Times may vary depending on the requirements of the condition.
Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
No, physiotherapists can assess and treat without referral by a doctor and we can complete and apply for cover from ACC for all accidents. However most health insurers require a doctors referral before they authorise cover of fees, so please check with your insurer as what your plan covers.
Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your injury or condition, your past medical history, and other factors. Re-evaluations are done on a regular basis and if you are not meeting your treatment milestones we will refer you back to your GP or onto a specialist.
BTYF Physio are musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapists and can provide treatment for a wide range of conditions and diagnoses. Please visit our Services for an extensive list of conditions and diagnoses we see patients for.
Contact your health insurance provider to determine the level of cover. We are Southern Cross Easy Claim Providers and can invoice them directly at the time of the consultation. Some benefits do have restrictions on the level of cover they provide for physiotherapy.
